Winsor & Newton Drawing Inks have been used by illustrators since their introduction within the 1890’s, where the primary requirement was once brilliance of color. These days they’re formulated from a series of soluble dyes in a very good shellac solution. These inks May also be applied with brush, dip pen or airbrush and are widely used by designers, calligraphers and artists in addition to illustrators. All colors within the Winsor & Newton line of Drawing Inks are fully intermixable and they’re easily diluted (with distilled water). Fast drying and water resistant, they’ve excellent adhesion on most surfaces.
