R&F Encaustic White Beeswax 5-pounds has been decolorized by mechanical filtration, making it less reactive to pigments than chemical bleaching. The wax comes granulated, making it easier to measure and melt. You’ll be able to use Beeswax as the prime ingredient, at the side of damar resin, for making your own encaustic medium. You’ll be able to also use it without resin, however the surface shall be less hard, less polishable, more dust-attractive and have a lower melting temperature. White Beeswax can be used to give an initial priming coat in your panel or paper for encaustic.

Keep away from overheating this product. Wax will release toxic fumes when heated above decomposition temperature. Do not heat above 200-degrees Fahrenheit. Use with ventilation.
