Description

R&F Encaustic White Beeswax 10-pounds has been decolorized by mechanical filtration, making it less reactive to pigments than chemical bleaching. The wax comes granulated, making it easier to measure and melt. You’ll use Beeswax as the prime ingredient, in conjunction with damar resin, for making your own encaustic medium. You’ll also use it without resin, however the surface might be less hard, less polishable, more dust-attractive and have a lower melting temperature. White Beeswax will also be used to give an initial priming coat for your panel or paper for encaustic.

Keep away from overheating this product. Wax will release toxic fumes when heated above decomposition temperature. Do not heat above 200-degrees Fahrenheit. Use with ventilation.
