QoR Watercolor Grounds bring a totally new wave of expression to watercolors. Watercolor grounds quickly transform nearly any substrate into a surface for watercolor painting.
Creates an absorbent surface that allows for soft edges and flowing wet-in-wet techniques. May be brush applied for a linen-like texture, rolled on for a dappled effect, or scraped on smoothly with a palette knife. May also be lightly wet sanded for a smoothness similar to a hot pressed surface.

In addition to the line of watercolors, Golden has created QoR grounds (pronounced core) to achieve further than the standard painting mediums into a new area of expression. QoR Watercolor Ground is a fluid acrylic primer that creates a lightfast, flexible, and porous surface very similar to hot press paper on materials such as panels or canvas. Suitable for a variety of techniques including repeat lifting, scrubbing, washing, staining, and returning stained areas back to an absorbent white surface. 237 ml/8 oz jar with twist off top.
