Add Color to Your Clay, Slip and Glazes

Our stains are a great way to add color to your clay, clay slip, glazes and under-glazes. They may be able to be fired at all temperatures (low fire, mid fire, high fire). Combine stains to achieve a huge range of fascinating colors!

Many Stains to Choose From

The more stain you add to your glaze, dry clay, or slip, the darker the color will be. How much stain you add it’s ultimately up to each person’s personal preferences. So for black, dark blues or greens, 5-10% of the total weight is regularly a good place to start. For light colors, you should try 10-20%.
