The usage of a base of prime quality gum arabic and dextrin solution, these colors lift and go with the flow easily, whilst a special additive means that you can paint large areas without streaking. Like all their lines, LUKAS uses only the finest in classic and modern pigments which score very highly on the international blue wool scale of light fastness. The high pigment content allows for superior covering power, and the frequent use of single pigment colors allows for clear and consistent mixing. Toxic and dangerous pigments like cadmiums and cobalt have been eliminated from this line, but their superb substitutes are indistinguishable in brilliance and intensity. LUKAS Art & Design Gouache dries to a velvety, matte finish that may be perfect for reproduction, but as it’s a watercolor the paint film will remain workable and the lightfast pigments ensure lasting results. All 48 brilliant colors are to be had in 20ml tubes, and Ivory Black and Opaque White in 75ml tubes.
