Encaustic paint colour cakes are composed of beeswax, damar resin, and pigments. In a molten state the cakes are applied to an absorbent floor after which fused or re-melted to succeed in a variety of results, from glass-like smoothness to wealthy impasto-like textures.The 40 ml. cake measures 1 1/four in. x 2 1/2 in. x 3/four in. The 104 ml. cake measures 3 1/2 in. x 1 1/2 in. x 1 1/four in. Bought as PACK OF 2.
